Hello my friends and welcome to Giftwrapped Apologetic Research for 2016! Below you will find a wide range of information (by category, but in no particular order) on topics related to the creation/evolution debate, as well as the intellectual defense of Christianity. You’ll find that while the presenters are (obviously) Young earth creationist, they get their data from primarily secular, evolutionary sources. Also, they interact with the criticisms of the theory and give valid and logical defenses, showing the weakness of the criticisms and opposing worldviews.
Below that are resources for a lot of other topics, and not all of them are YEC’s, but those who aren’t specialize in much different fields. They would be if they studied more science.
Let’s start right at the very beginning. Isn’t the Big Bang the scientifically proven history of the world? Hasn’t it been established by science? You will find that the facts don’t defend the explosion of nothing making everything. For a summary of the arguments, read my articles below. For more the videos and get quality academic lectures from the scientists in their field.
The Big Bang (watch):
What about the distance to the stars? Doesn’t that prove that the universe must be billions of years old? Or big banged? Nope. There are a few models which explain it well within the realm of observational science. I liken it to the JFK assassination- maybe we can’t say for certain what happened, but we can rule our natural causes.
The Problem of Distant Starlight (watch):
Where did life come from? I suggest you start with my “Defining Evolution (Thursday Night Nachos)” series where in I define what Darwin meant and then examine the various proposed mechanism and evidence for evolution. Then, check out the longer academic lectures by scientists in the videos below.
Darwinian Evolution (watch):
UC Berkley, the Nation Center for Science Education, and the California Museum of Paleantology (and a bunch of other people) put together Evolution 101– the series intended to teach and prove evolution to school kids of all ages. I debunked the series one page at a time. Watch the first half of the series here
Darwinian Evolution (Read):
The Evolution 101 series (Read the entire series) The series begins here:

Ape to Man Evolution:
The study of Genetics is a new field which is always bringing us new and fascinating information. The more we explore the information in our cells, the more we discover. From the existence of this code of life, to the spell checkers in all of our cells, and even the multifaceted way in which information is stored, everything about this field of study shows the glory of God and the impossibility of Evolution.
Your textbooks will tell you that we are standing on a mile of evidence for deep time and evolution, but what do the rocks actually say for themselves? Geology and paleontology do NOT defend either, but are both great support for creation and the flood of Genesis. One thing to pay attention to- Biblical sources show you the fossils while evolutionary sources show you their interpretation. Always ask to see the data.
Geology and Fossils (watch):
These are web sites and organizations which teach the science and scripture that show Evolution is false, Creation as written in Genesis is true, and there are MANY reasons why it matters. If you have questions about Genesis or Darwin, start here.
Creation Today (On their main page is a box that says “Get Answers!” which searches not only their own archives, but also a collection of the best Creation apologetics sites. It’s a Creation Science search engine. I also highly recommend their YouTube Channel.
Answers In Genesis For thirty years this organization has had content created by the top scientists in their field, including many who have done field research to demonstrate the existence of C14 and soft tissue in dinosaur bones, the rapid rate of radio-decay in certain elements, and a host of other topics which validate Biblical Creation and invalidate Evolutionism.
Genesis Week/ Ian Juby My 3rd favorite Canadian and congenial scientists, Juby presents on a LOT of related topics, and he does his homework (links in the description to his videos on YouTube). From creation and evolution, to the flood and fossils, modern and historical science, and more, Juby makes it clear, entertaining, and relevant. More than his web site, I recommend his YouTube Channel. If you’re new, start with his Crevo Rants. If you want to see the whole case for Creation and against Evolution laid out all at once, check out his Complete Creation Series.
Creation Ministries International This multinational organization is much like Answers in Genesis- they have top scientists in their fields creating content and speaking on topics related to the Creation/Evolution debate, including biology, chemistry, dinosaurs, astronomy, and more.
Origins TV A Creation science tv show available on line. Not as entertaining as Ian Juby or Eric Hovind, this show still has top scientists diving deep into relevant topics for 25 minutes at a pop. A lot to be learned here from the nerds who know what they’re talking about.
The Slaves4Christ YouTube Channel is a warehouse of great lectures on science topics. The lecturers come from all of the organizations above and more, and as you will see, most of them are top scientists in their field.
The North West Creation Network also has a YouTube channel which houses a VAST collection of great lectures by top scientists. For years now they have had an annual creation conference where in the topics are addressed by top scientists. Once you’ve heard Ian Juby rant for a few minutes, come here and get an hour more on the details and learn you some science!
John Mackay– A brother from down under, Mackay is an old friend of Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis. His YouTube channel has a lot of great teaching on creation science from Mackay and friends on a variety of topics.
So it’s clear the Bible teaches that In the beginning, GOD created, but what makes us so sure that God even exists? Many reasons to be sure, but here’s a few arguments which can be made for those still skeptical.
The Existence of God:
Richard Dawkins/The God Delusion
Dawkins is the most popular atheist on the internet right now (although he has stopped calling himself an atheist because he admits atheism is indefensible). A biologist, Dawkins eventually decided that he was in a position to attack the Bible and as such wrote a popular book far more atheists reference than have actually read, and also showed how very incapable of theology he was. See his intellectual failings picked apart down to the bone below.
Apologetics on a LOT of topics:
Want to know the REAL history of the Bible? Do you want to know what Jesus REALLY taught? Do you want to know where science and faith intersect? Read on friends. The truth will set you free. Oh, and Jesus loves you!
These are Some of my Favorite Apologetic Web Sites with brief descriptions of what you’ll find there and what the site says about itself. (I do not agree with 100% of what these men say- Kreeft is a Catholic- I am not- and Craig is accepts Big Bang cosmology- I do not- but they still present a vast amount of useful information on many relevant topics, from the existence of God to the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus. Eat the meat, spit out the bones.)
ReasonsForHope– Karl Kerby is a guy in a Hawaiian shirt who is the son of a professional wrestler. His ministry focuses on quick and easy to understand answers, including a look into the world view of popular media (tv, movies, videogames). Most known for his short series of animations called DEBUNKED, he also gives great presentations, such as THIS ONE about a proposed Missing Link which got her own tv show. It’s a REALLY great presentation because he uses a LOT of the video and web site which tried to sell this lemur as a pre-human, showing the lies and hypocrisy, and eventual admission of dishonesty from the evolutionists behind it all.
Tons of short videos on a wide range of topics from dozens of scholars. Like an educational YouTube of apologetic teaching. Topic include God and the Bible, Science, History, metaphysics, comparative world religions, and answers to critics and skeptics. A great web site- especially if you’re not in the mood to read.
Blog of the “Bible Answer Man,” who’s radio show can be found here:
The Christian Research Institute exists to provide Christians worldwide with carefully researched information and well-reasoned answers that encourage them in their faith. Lots of common questions answered in brief, search-able articles.
Josh McDowell Ministries- video, audio, and articles on the deity of Christ, the reliability of Scripture, and the historical fact of the resurrection in the context of the current culture to bring people into a vital, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. His podcast is called Josh McDowell Ministries Messages.
Responses to “101 Clear Contradictions in the Bible”, by (Muslim Author) Shabbir Ally
This article discusses the nature of the Bible as literature, its history, and the proper way to view it’s inerrancy. Then it takes the 101 supposed contradictions given by Mr. Ally and gives answers to them, showing the trustworthiness of the scriptures.
Resources to help you to understand, defend and communicate the Christian faith. Audio, articles, pictures, and a wide range of authors on a wide range of theological, scientific, and personal issues- including the reliability of the scriptures both as internally coherent and historically accurate:
Ravi Zacharias is the host of the radio/podcast Let My People Think and has authored many books. He travels and speaks on maters of apologetics and world view. This site has videos of him speaking at colleges and links to other material. Ravi Zacharias International Ministries is a global ministry that seeks to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. At its essence, apologetics is the art and science of Christian persuasion: communicating the relevance, coherence, and reasonableness of the Christian Gospel to skeptics, cultural influencers, and critical thinkers across the globe.
Founded by “Young Earth” Creationist and Australian born teacher Ken Ham, this web site is full of video, audio, and many scholarly articles on a vast range of scientific topics supporting the Biblical account of creation, and showing the weaknesses in “Naturalistic” theories of science. Curators of the Creation Museum:
Video, audio, and many written articles on matters of theology, philosophy, metaphysics, and worldview. There is a long list of questions sent in by readers of the site which he answers, articles on a range of related topics, and audio and video of lectures and debates. Reasonable Faith features the work of philosopher and theologian Dr. William Lane Craig in order to carry out its three-fold mission: to provide an articulate, intelligent voice for biblical Christianity in the public arena, to challenge unbelievers with the truth of biblical Christianity, and to train Christians to state and defend Christian truth claims with greater effectiveness. His youtube channel has many short clips on topic, and much longer lectures and debates.
Dr James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries is a powerhouse of information and logic, covering a WIDE variety of topics, from the historicity of the resurrection and the reliability of the New Testament, to the Christian response to Islam, Mormonism, and Atheism, as well as in depth replies to the most popular skeptics and heretics of the day. He specializes in debates and is an intellect to be feared, on par with Dr Craig.
JP Holding of Tekton Apologetics is like a librarian on steroids when it comes to defending the Christian faith. He specializes in taking on skeptics and heretics specifically, but also addressed ideologies uniquely and with great research. His youtube channel is almost entirely snarky cartoons making fun of the many lies which get spread on the internet, and the liars who spread them. It’s a blend of sarcasm, scholarship, and Loony Toons. If there’s a popular YouTube atheist, odds are JP Holding has made fun of them in cartoon form.
CSLewisDoodle A youTube channel where in the works of CS Lewis are read and cartoons are draw in in to illustrate the concepts. Lewis makes difficult concepts clear- from the validity of miracles to the existence of God and Objective morals, and the cartoons make it come alive, especially for those of us who are visual learners.
The Veritas Forum is a collection of lectures and debates from professionals and experts in their fields (Including Ravi Zacharias, J.P. Moreland, and William Lane Craig) offered on college campuses, focusing on a Christian world view through a wide range of topics, from science and history to drama and music. Media downloads are available for free.
The Official Peter Kreeft Site
Peter Kreeft is a great philosopher who stands on the shoulders of giants. A lover of CS Lewis, GK Chesterton, Tolkien, surfing and all of church history, Kreeft tackles individual philosophers and their worldviews as well as culturally relevant topics from relativism to abortion. His lectures are congenial and very educational, and his books are a wonderful introduction to the history of Western thought on both sides of the isle. Check out the free audio on his site to begin with.
Socrates Meets Jesus is a stageplay based on a book by Kreeft by the same name. It’s clever, insightful, and in a short time gets into the depths of modern thought and the rationality of faith in Jesus. I’ve gotten to see this one live, and it is great. click the link to watch it on YouTube. For more from the guy who plays Socates in the production, check out Kevin O’Brien’s work here on youtube. He’s a great actor who uses comedy to teach.
Kevin O’Brien plays a host of characters on G.K. Chesterton: Apostle of Common Sense- a show celebrating the work of GK Chesterton. As I have said before, Chesterton and the makers of this show are Catholic, and I am not, thus I have my disagreements, but overall, Chesterton was a great gift to the entire Christian church, and he is well represented here. He makes whimsical sense of many parts of faith, and dismantles attacks against Christianity with a rapier wit. Once you fall in love with Chesterton, check out this evening with Chesterton as performed by the man who plays him on the Apostle of Common Sense.
Ronald Nash at Reformed Theological Seminary Go to I Tunes U and find Ronald Nash at RTS, and check out his courses on philosophy and history. He teaches several, and they are wonderful. Want to trace the history of thought within the church from its biggest names? Want to learn the worldviews which opposed the church for its entire history? Want to get a better grasp on philosophy- ancient and modern- from a guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously? I recommend Nash- witty and clear. You will enjoy learning from him, and it’s all free for download.
Inspiring Philosophy is a YouTube channel which deals with the deeper apologetic questions, philosophy, and alleged errors or contradictions in the Bible. Presented as easy to follow animated videos, this series will make you think.
Acts17Apologetics is a YouTube channel which is home to many apologetics topics, most notably David Wood who defends the historicity of Christianity and spends a LOT of time teaching about Islam, Mohammed, and the Quran. If you want to learn about Islam from Islamic sources, this is a great place to start.
Here are a few videos that ask what history says about the origin of Islam and begin to uncover reasons to doubt Islam even existed during the lifetime of Mohammed- if he even existed:
Nabeel Quareshi is a former Muslim, now Christian, who speaks and writes about Islam. He left Islam when he began to study what it really taught and also began to study Christianity with his friend David Wood.
The Masked Arab is a former Muslim who now considers himself an atheist [so, language warning], but like David Wood he examines Islam from within its own sources and doctrine. In case you want to see what non-Christians familiar with Islam have to say. Check out his video on the Islamic depiction of the universe HERE: Islam & the whale that carries the Earth on its back
Jim Wallace – website here, YouTube Channel here– is a cold case homicide detective who has a lot of useful info on the historicity of the Bible, the logic of Christian faith, but he also has done a lot of research on Mormonism due to having family in the LDS church. If you want to learn how Mormonism is different than Christianity, and how it fails the test, this is a great place to start.
Top Ten Mormon Problems Explained A look at the evidence against Mormonism and the claims of Joseph Smith.
